(Now that YouTube allows uploads over 100MB, I can finally post this... Consider it a consolation prize for that disappointing clip of "Ambulance 15" I posted last night).

A classic "Blower Bentley" takes off from the Independent Prestige dealership during the Bentley Drivers Club New Zealand Tour.

  • Is it possible to describe this as anything other than "simply glorious"? I think this should be the next style for hot rods, the massive pre-war race rods. I want to find a Liberty V-12 to throw in a 20 foot chassis, myself...

  • Hahaha, that's not how one viewer responded to pictures of this on Flickr, apparently its a replica... I still love it though, along with the Auburn 852 Boat-tail Speedster and several other of those ridiculously but gorgeously proportioned dream machines...

  • do you mean the merc alp that was going into service

  • Yep

  • wats a type 5 its took me this long to find out what type 4 was n now u mention type 5 go on googel mate

  • LOL! I only call them "Types" because you do! Didn't you get that off the NZ Fire Service website? I meant the new ALP, as you'd call them...
