Someone asked me once, "What is his best song, his most special song to you" and I told them this one because as far as I'm concerned, this says it all.
A few days later I received a framed window box picture with these lyrics typed up, and I still have it.

Thanks for uploading. Shame about those fans though, sure i'd love for it to have been me shaking his hand but doing that to him? Ruined the first verse of a really great song that was rarely done live.
I wish this song was on the Tour Of Refusal, hopefully he'll add it in in October. Infact just add anything from Kill Uncle

After that number [Piccadilly Palare], Morrissey asked "I hope you haven't been hammered to your seats?". Then, at the beginning of "Driving Your Girlfriend Home", a fan who was trying to get on stage was brutally dragged away by security. This prompted Morrissey to move forward in order to see what was happening. He then stopped the band and asked "Why does the security have to be so ugly?

We're going to have to have two minutes to do something about the security because this is shit". He and the band then exited the stage to discuss security matters. After 10 minutes, they came back to resume the show, to a relieved roaring crowd.

He cut out that verse because the band just kept playing while he was being mauled; they didn't start over so he just picked up the song where it was at.
