  • gah I wish everyone was on the same wavelength towards music as corgan! I agree 120% with the guy, everytime he opens is mouth. I understand everything he says, speaks his mind clear as day. I run my own band/music through his teachings and guidance, has never failed me.

  • I think a pledge format would help raise money, ALOT of bands are doing that, and pulling through alot of cash when that pledge is met. And a band like SP with that kind of day to day fanbase caliber... worth a shot.

  • @OfGraySkies to myself to add------the idea of say a $10,000 fundraiser or something that we all need to join together and make that number! is what im sayin

  • I've been struggling to get myself to pre-order the new release Gish and/or Siamese and found myself wishing it did feel like this was a fundraiser to keep the music coming. It would induce my altruism, and I'd give, and would be less about me convincing myself that music of high quality is worth paying for, like how Corgan dreams it to be. I loved you in Milwaukeeee, you and your dreams! Can I come home with you? dang it, I wish...(o and i will buy either both or one, but cd or digital? hmm..)

  • @PorkSodaOnTheRocks -- I must say, I'm more of a relaxed fan of SP and I'm not super interested in loud impressive guitar riffs and sequences.. I'll take soft dreamy melody with Billy's unique vocals and style aaannnyy day. Like with Zeitgeist and even Machina, people have observed that he may have aimed for extra-hard to make up for Adore, essentially because of fans emphasizing he's only of value when he's making loud crazy music.

  • @jsh020Maybe, but for anyone to play 2 to 3-hour shows with varied set lists night after night like the original members used to--requires a lot of effort. It would take months to a year of practice to learn upwards of 50 songs and play them to Billy's expectation. They just worked on an album. You can't just throw out any random old Pumpkins song and expect her to be able to play it. She's done nothing as remotely ambitious previously. How can you be so sure? Ever seen a 3-hour Veruca Salt show?

  • @tolkazhen nichole can handle it, hell so far theyv basically perfected all the old songs live this tour.

  • @mistacabbage The rest of the band can't keep up.They cant master that much of the Pumpkins repertoire.Jeff could pull it off but I'm not so sure about the other two.It would require much more practice. The execution at the shows has hardly been seamless.I do agree with you, and you know I got myself in trouble with him years ago with a similar comment. Also, they can't just cater to us hardcore fans unfortunately. If they did they'd be playing to chirping crickets. Glad you said something though.

  • I still don't understand why they can't play 20 minutes worth of songs that a different from show to show. He kinda dodged my question there.

  • Where is part 2?
