ANOTHER WORLD: Carl's Redemption Pt. 16 (subject to change)

Carl Hutchins is back in Bay City and is determined to win the favor of not only its citizens but the love of his son, Ryan Harrison, and the heart of Rachel Cory. Carl's longtime enemies have other plans however. Is Carl a changed man? Will Kevin Anderson succeed in putting Carl behind bars? Will Carl be able to win the love and trust of his son Ryan? Will he be able to convince Ryan to fight for Vicky Hudson Harrison, currently married to his brother Grant?

In Part 16 (subject to change), Grant tells Spencer that his mother came back to Spencer because she was pregnant and afraid. Spencer confides in Grant that he likes to think he would've made it with Justine if she hadn't died. He also tells him that he's trying to change and that he misses both him and Ryan. He tries to appeal to Grant that he must have needed him since he is reaching out to him now. Grant responds that he just wanted to see the kind of man he could be if he allowed himself to become more and more like Spencer.

Marley tries to give Vicky some perspective as to how Grant is not used to her being in charge and that he was only trying to protect her. Vicky sees that, when Marley sums things up, it almost makes a little bit of sense. Marley then tells her of her problem with Dennis, that he is not understanding of the amount of time she is spending at the clinic. Marley reminds Vicky of what she said on her wedding day to Grant. Vicky gets the message and the two hug and then part.

Jake rushes to Paulina and tells her to stay away from Ian. Paulina tells Jake she is not amused to be given orders. He hushes her and tells her that he has something to inform her about Ian.

Ryan recalls the time he was with Vicky and he was arrested, resulting in losing his policeman's badge. He recalls confiding in her about what it meant to him to be a cop and how all policemen are more than a family. He is then congratulated back to the force by a former colleague.

Grant apologizes to Vicky for walking out on her. Vicky tells Grant that she is not ready to talk things out and that she needs time alone. Grant tells her that he hopes that they can resume talking in the morning. As she walks up to bed, he tells her that he loves her and asks if she realizes that. Saying nothing, she walks up to bed.

Ryan asks his colleague not to tell Billy Cooper that he's back on the force yet. He tells him that he has a surprise for him.

Paulina thinks Jake's and Ryan's suspicions about Ian's involvement with Vicky's kidnapping are ridiculous. Nevertheless, Jake pleads with her to stay away from him. Ian then calls Paulina and admits that he is indeed leaving Bay City. She asks him to wait a day before leaving since she has something personal to say to him. They arrange to meet in person at the docks at 7 pm the next day.
