  • You mean, you just collect it and don't drink any of it? Come on, what a waste. Lets get drunk ;)

  • Good God no. John has a whole shelf of drinkers. When he finally tracks down the origin of a Mystery Malt, He'll have a bottle on the shelf for visitors to taste from the distillery that the malt would have been from. John has a dram everyday.

  • Hey John! I work in a liquor store here in British Columbia Canada. We've been told on many occasions that we have the best selection in my town which is a fantastic thing to hear! I impressed myself when at 2:10 in the video you said lagavulin thats what i thought of too! Thanks so much for showing your collection its absolutely incredible! We have some Douglas Laing and some Glenfarclas 30 year old!

    Take care my friend :)

  • Message from John: "Thanks very much for your comments, lovely to hear from other Malt fans".

  • Should the Whisky be on the shelfs espressed to the sun the way its shown in the video? For how many years the whisky doesnt change significatly when in the sun?

  • The curtains in the storage room are always drawn, however we needed the light for the video.

Hi, i know John personally, the room has a blind drawn over it at all times, it was just raised for filming. And he lives in a pretty remote spot, and earthquake free.

  • massive collection, and two suggestions: you should keep em in a dark place (whisky is loosing its colour exposed on the sunlight), and there is a huge risk to break them due to some kids around, earth shaking or whatever, i'd definately put this precious collecion to some special prepared basement

  • hope you dont get an earthquake or something...

  • put them in more safer place. in case of earthquake. not kidding just trying to help nice collection :)

  • Very cool!

  • The two remakes of this have just scraped 500 views. Between them. This is well over 8700, even though this has poorer audio. Perhaps originals often are the best.....

  • wow

  • @fuckyou334 I have recently remade the whisky film with John. Search for Whiskyman Part One
