Just a little excerpt from June by Tchaikovsky. I messed up quite a few times, I haven't really played in two and a half years T^T

I'm starting to play again, and I'm wondering if it's worth it.

  • hi nikkypickysticky .. stop wondering if it's worth for you to start playing again after 2.5 years: it's not. You're doing nobody a favour with this upload of crap playing. Practise really hard, and stop blaming others (teachers) for supposedly not having provided you with inspiration.. if you can't draw that out of the music... you're a lost case.

  • @TICETOCAR i just said i quit because i didn't like the teacher, basically. and how would uploading any video be doing someone a favour? o_O oh well say what you want.

  • Try using a bit more vibrato and try to create a better on-brasure [can't spell lol]

other than that it was pretty good

  • i shall if i ever make another video, lol

  • Try putting the mouthpiece into the hollow of your chin instead of half-way up on the lip. (Teachers will say: "Don't cover so much."). You'll eventually have to learn about the right places to breathe (called "phrasing") then you can mark the correct breathing spots on the music - this will help. Watch Nina Perlove's videos, and Jennifer Cluff's - they might help too. In general, we need to hear more flute sound and less fuzzy-ness. You can do it (we all started like that!).

  • just dont give up if you really have a passion for what your doing

  • Heyaheya. Don't quit flute! I just played for the first time in two months and I realized how much I loved it :3

IF you hold your flute up higher, and move your jaw a little more forward, your tone will come out fine because you have REALLY good breath control.

    Just a little practice <3

    I enjoyed it!

  • sigue practicando tu puedes, es una hermosa pieza que sin duda te saldra excelente

  • Good job!You still need to practice but overall it's good!I love that piece,I also play it at the flute

  • hi nice playing but a little fuzzy. but great job..:)

  • i'm actually now a 2ndyear college student. i had been playing since i was in 5th grade but i quit senior year =\ bad music teacher that was really not inspiring. it's not really easy to play good, but practice sure helps. and it's fun for sure =] music in general is fun if you really want to be playing, even if you're not good. =] fun is what matters :D

  • what grade are you and how long have you been playing. also do you find flute easy and fun?
