Hi, if you forget about looks ( I know the 175 looks more jazzy), would you go for the Scofield or the 175 if you´d have to choose one for jazz? I have a Scofield with Seth Lover pickups and I´ve been offered a trade for a mint 1991 175, of course I have to give aditional money for the exchange. What do you think about it. regards

@Grooveitman Hi. I would choose the 175. If you only play jazz the 175 is one of the best choices. The Scofield is more versatile and can be used in different situations with no feedback problems (rock, fusion, etc). Anyway if I am required to choose only one, that would be the 175! :-)

Hi SERGIO, Beautiful all around.. I just made arrangements to purchase a new 175 in wine color........ Are you happy with yours? Which strings did you chose? I love the tone on yours.. 5stars.......KEEPON STRUMMIN....DALLAS

Hi Tototwice! Thanks. Yes I am quite happy with this 175. This is my second one, before this one I had a sunburst model from the 90s. This new blonde 175 sounds as good as the old one (already sold). Regarding the strings I use Daddario Chromes 011-050 (ECG24 set), they are flatwound. I also have other jazz guitars but this one is the "one".
