I occasionally play with these other guys in my garage -- when we get along. We're jamming to a tune I learned from Bruce Bauman down there in Mecosta County. So many versions of this one.

We call ourselves

"Ott Lake Rambler's Me, Myself, and I."

  • Happy New Year to all of you who visit my channel. Without you folks, my efforts here would be a waste of time!

  • I have watched this video over a dozen times and it still cracks me up. Good job, guy(s).

  • Thanks! We enjoyed it.

  • found this on about2rains channel

    like your playing

    nice pickin

howd you put this video together?

  • I videod the fiddle live, with no back-up instruments. I then recorded the mando and guitar on a 4 track digital recorder. And I then videod myself on those two instruments.

It looks like I'm faking the fiddle because it ain't easy to edit it all together in perfect time with the music. But, I tried my best.

  • now thats folk music

  • @ottlakerambler Of the numerous Grey Eagles I heard a version that sammy lind of the foghorn st band play one called Old Time Grey Eagle. Ever hear of it or no its source. Maybe Salyer?

  • Great playing but I can't say much for your taste in beer.

  • HAH that is hilarious at the end :)

  • great tone!!!

  • Yes, I see You All are still at it! Thanks for stoppin'...to the ToeTapper!

  • Fantastic AND hilarous!

  • There are direct links between fiddle styles and Baroque era playing that modern violinists find odd; the posture of this man's violin would have fit right in Louis XIV's chamber. Also notice a lack of vibrato in fiddling. The way some hold their bows high above the frog. Baroque style.

  • This is a great one, OttLake. I love the man in the Bolero. He's my favorite. Hey, 4491430 (below) says you're holding your fiddle wrong! That's how Dino would've done it.
