KIDS PERFORMING REPERTORY THEATRE (KPRT) brings back the magic of "NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE" with 21 shows 24th November to 1st December 2011 at 11am, 4pm and 8pm at the Suntec Theatre. This musical production will take everyone to a fun-filled adventure through the winter and spring seasons of Narnia, a magical world where all manner of flora and fauna become divine and alive at Aslan's command.

Based on the fictional masterpiece by C. S. Lewis, with book and lyrics by Jaime del Mundo and Luna Griño-Inocian, music by Lito Villareal and music arrangements by Mon Faustino, KPRT mounts this musical extravaganza involving a cast of around 60 performers. NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE is a heart-warming tale that reinforces the value of repentance, forgiveness, loyalty and bravery and is a show that both the young and old will enjoy!

July 2009 sees the formation of KPRT as an extension of the work of Kids Performing™ in Singapore, to support young talents. KPRT aims to showcase year-long musicals and straight plays featuring young musical theatre and performing arts students from Kids Performing™. The objective of the theatre is to provide selected students of Broadway Kids, Musical Theatre for Teens, and other performance training programs a platform to experience a full-scaled musical taking their lesson from the classroom directly to a professional theatre. The inaugural production of KPRT is an anime-inspired "Narnia, The Musical" at DBS Arts Centre -- Home of Singapore Repertory Theatre. A year later, Hans Christian Andersen's well-loved children's classic "The Emperor's New Clothes" was staged at the Genexis Theatre, Fusionopolis, as part of the month-long celebration of the 2nd Great Eastern International Kids Performing Festival.

Actors of KPRT are casted after they have gone through Kids Performing™'s unique performance training. Aside from receiving a certificate of participation at the end of the course, KPRT's students also get to experience working alongside professional actors and creative production teams.

For this year's recreation of "Narnia, the Musical," directed by Kids Performing Artistic Director Kuo Po and managed by Joanne Leow, KPRT introduces for the first time professional artistes and adult performers to play along with the children cast, who have undergone a rigorous performance training since April 2011. Kids Performing™ trainers who honed the cast are Musical Director Terence Guillermo, Choreographer Wilson Arcilla Ong, Vocal Trainers Sara Samala and Margaret Pascual, Acting Trainer Sanjay Gautam and Stage Manager Eireene Crisostomo.

Co-incidentally, the role of "Father Christmas" will be played by Chris Boesch, who is actually the father of 2 cast members. Mr. Boesch is a PhD. in Computer Science and Associate Professor of Information Systems at School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. He joined the band Latitude 115 in 2008 as lead vocalist and has been involved in Singapore's performing arts scene ever since. Playing the coveted-role of Jadis, the White Witch is the child-prodigy Julia Abueva. Ms. Abueva is one of the original JazzKids™, one of the trademark courses at Kids Performing.™ She has sung for head of states, performed in two globally-aired SEA Games in 2005 and 2009, and was featured by Oprah Winfrey as one of the world's smartest and most talented kids.

KPRT has also expanded its training. "Stage mums" who have consistently waited for their children during rehearsals have been invited and trained to be part of the KPRT stage management team. Popstars City,™ Kids Performing™'s counterpart for adults, has opened its newest course Musical Theatre for Adults, and aside from performance training, students are immersed in hands-on production
