You gotta break in the tubes, speaker, etc. mine lost all the shrill treble after a month. I gig small clubs w/ it and am constantly asked how I get such a great tone...

If you want a quality little amp, get the Vox DA5. It's solid state but can sound tube-like. . They're discontinued so check eBay

WHO THINK'S THE BLUES JR IS BETTER ? I AM IN TWO MINDS WEATHER TO GET THIS OR A BLUES JR FOR HOME USE ONLY, I HAVE A 1975 VIBROCHAMP ALREADY, BUT WANT A SECOND AMP TO GET SOME DIFFERENT SOUNDS, MAYBE A BLUES JR WOULD BE BETTER AS IT SEEMS TO HAVE MORE SOUNDS ? GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS PLEASE, ANYONE THAT HAS OWNED BOTH, PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE PLUSES AND MINUSES CHEERS

If it boosted everything that wouldn't change the tone. It just boosts the treble end as you turn it up.

I would take advantage of the new tube micro-amps that have been coming out. Look at the Blackstar HT-1 or one of the other 1 to 5 watt tube amps that are out. You don't have to spend a fortune, they will be plenty loud (for practicing, not necessarily with a full loud band) and you will get good tube sound.
