Importing and exporting geometry between different CAD softwares can be a challenge. But it is a necessary thing to work with data from other packages. this is an example of an airplane design where we copy some necessary surfaces in order to use them in a separate part file.

  • When i using Catia to open igs files ,it seems the Unit is Inch by default ,even if the unit of my original igs is millimeter.I checked the iges setting in 'Tools--Options--General-Compatibility-iges' Only the export units can be modified. Is there any options to change the default import Units.(I tried to change the user units in options-paramenters-mearments but the result is just the same)

    Could anyone help me please.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Very nice.

Just a thing. Keep always the tree open so that one can see what's going on

    Cheers!
