Oh my God, I just started to cry.
I've seen him, and I touched him. I was blessed... <3

What I love about this video is the clips of Milton loose in the school and in the stable, reminding everyone that he was still a horse, which I think is wonderful to see. Underneath all of the incredible talent he had-was a horse. Just a horse. And I think he's a true inspiration.
This horse is truly my idol, still is and always will be. He's one the greats, if not the greatest and I don't think there'll be another like him.
Rest in Paradise dear boy, fly high among the clouds <3

@alexjoules His dam was an IDSH (of course the magnificent draft was involved somewhere!!), sire dutch warmblood.. You can see further details on "allbreedpedigree" website. Just type in "Milton". He was born in 1977; his sire was Marius and his dam Aston Answer.

I used to go rising with a girl (Nicola) who won a competition in Horse & Pony magazine in UK, she won the chance to go down to his stable and meet and spend the day with Milton and John. Her question to John was: You say Milton is just like a part of the family? So where does he sit at the dinner table?.... We were all very jelous of her. That must have been about 18 years ago. Think i might google it and see if i can find it.
For years I watched him in the warm up area at Spruce Meadows here in Canada. John Whitaker and he were a study in efficiency of movement, over and between jumps. The owners, the Bradleys, chose a fine rider for him after the death of their daughter Caroline, who started him so beautifully. A fine horsewoman. Milton was her legacy and gift to us all. Thanks so much for the video and choosing the perfect song.

Milton was truely an inspiring horse. When i go thorough rough patches with my horse, when he is unco-operative, i just think of how much milton acheived and how even he had bad days. :) i adore him. R.I.P you beauty.
Does anyone know what breed Milton was? i could google it but... x)
