It takes about 1 hour for me to bike from one side of Barrie to the other (looked on a map and I was on the other half of the city) it not a very big city, but I really like downtown for all the small businesses that only have one location...my favorite store in Barrie that isnt a chain is village meats...yum

Moved back home to Nova Scotia in 2008, but lived in Barrie for 20yrs...a wonderful city with many great friends!!

Barrie is different from the cities like Toronto and Montreal. It nice, couple good restaurants. There's a nice vietnames restaurant where the food is delicious and not very pricy! Cannot remember the name right now, but that's where we are going to right now.
