5) Boys' Pennies Buy Canteen - "The Boy's Clubs of America earned $2,500 at odd jobs here and there. Without fan fare the youngsters turn over the funds to the American Red Cross for the purchase of a deluxe Mobile Cantieen."

The American dead are interred at a military cemetery. America's new hero, Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, Commander-in-Chief of the Pacific Fleet, rides into view in a jeep. Accompanying him are Admirals Hoover and Turner, and Generals Holland Smith and Harry Schmidt. Shortly after the Stars and Stripes are placed in postiion over the Atoll, the electrifying news from Truk comes in, and a fuller significance is given to this marvelous victory in the Marshalls."

was no battle for rome, only german mp's in rome. gen. mark clark was told to cut of the retreat of the #10 german army,but he went to rome instead. he let 7 german div.s get back to their own lines. how many men died for his stupid actions?

The Marines did not take Kwajalein. While the 4th Marine Division was taking the secondary objective of Roi-Namur, the US Army's 7th Infantry Division was taking Kwajalein. Read your history.
