How the Moon Was Formed Song

Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy.

We don't know, how it got here

We all knew this type of theory didn't come with instructions
So I'm trying to do my best to make something out of nothing
And sometimes it gets downright crazy in fact
Some think the moon came to be by us in that
Floated by Earth's gravity pulled it close by
And it's been here since then
Most likely great impact, planet of large size
With Earth it slammed on
Threw rocky debris skyward joining together, wow
Creates a single mass to form the moon in orbit now

The moon is nothing but amazing
Cause it reflects the sun's rays
Some of the light can be seen from Earth
See, some of the moon sunlit
In the new moon dark and hazy
Waxing crescent is next, yes
Then it's the first quarter and waxing gibbous is on the right
Full moon, full moon, full moon, full moon
We hear it makes us crazy
Full moon, full moon, full moon, full moon
Next up is gibbous waning
Third quarter light is on the left
Half moon just like the first
Now waning crescent's up
Full moon comes once again, yeah

Earth and sun it's a solar eclipse
But on the other end
