Benefit Dance that raised $5000 dollars on Saturday July 11th.

Just purchased the QSC K12's and decided to do the David and Goliath test of speakers. The QSCK12's sound quality was complimented by many and the JBL's were constantly complained about being too loud. So its quality vs quantity. This was a fairly big hall with about 300 people that danced from 8 to 1am.

Keep in mind the JBL JRX125 has Dual 15's, where as the QSCK12's has a 500watt 12 inch cone and a 500 watt compression driver.

  • Saying that they have 500w on the compression driver is simple marketing trick(everyone does that this days). They use the same 500w amplifier for both drivers(it improves logistics/spare parts management) but the amp it is limited by the DSP to no more than 100w continues power. If you want to improve your JRX125 buy another XTi1000 and use both amps in bridged mode, set the processor inside the XTi to not go below 40Hz and waste SPL energy. And last: upgrade to Selenium compression drivers.2/2

  • @TheNikola0nikola exactly....spend more money....no thanks

  • Only ONE Crown XTI1000 simply is not enough for driving two JRX125. Second, comparing JRX125 with K12 is like comparing family sedan car and Comanche state of the art helicopter. Both brilliant for what they are designed to do but totally non-comparable. Compare K12 with PRX612M, both are Bi-Amp and they don't have typical crossover, instead they have proprietary DSP crossover/equalization for getting maximum results from each driver inside the speaker box. 1/2

  • @TheNikola0nikola qsc by far....i've had both...

  • I hope the laptop isn't the source of your audio...

  • @bennyboytx yes it is....It can provide higher quality audio than a CD player....
