This is a small one inch aerial shell i made. It was filled with micro stars which i made by cutting up larger stars into small chips. The break charge was just black powder, mixed into the stars. I did not use the correct lift powder, or enough of it so it only reached abotu 30ft, before falling and then bursting at about 10ft.

  • haha nice

how do u make it launch out of the tube?

  • Just a bit of granulated black powder in the bottom. Same principal as a gun ;)

  • ohh ok that cool.

how much do i have t put?

  • play it by ear, do about a teaspoon full, if you do too much the shell wil blow apart in the tube (flower potting) and if you dont do enough, the shell will break low.....

  • @twitch738 yeah if you use almost a quarter pound of black powder that mortar is going to blow out, unless is steel and pounded at least a foot in the ground lol

i know a guy that made a mortar out of an old drive shaft to a truck and he used to use it as a salute cannon until he put 5 ounces of rifle powder in it and shoved a wad of tin foil in it and when he lit it, it turned pipe bomb on him and killed his wife, im not kidding. and that was 1/4" steel walled drive shaft....soooo do the math.

  • @Rampede Oh yeh never really thought that far ahead lol

  • @twitch738

no not necessarilly, because if you have a 12 inch shell that weighs 1000+G's your definately not going to use 100 grams of lift......thats rediculous lol.

  • @Rampede its allways 1/10 of the weight of the shell no mattter how big

  • @devil091213 umm. they said bloody hell dumb@55

  • @bigrcliff for shells 3 inch and smaller its 1/10 of the shell weight. i dont know why no one goes by this anymore its the most simple and reliable if you make your BP right.

  • OoooOOOOOO-oooh! Oh bloody hell!

  • ooeeew luky hell ooee

  • you have a beautiful voice

  • bloody hell love it
