  • what he means is that for an event to happen simultaneously you need the light coming from the bicycle moving toward you and the light from the cart moving at right angles to you to be travelling at the same speed, i.e. the speed of the moving bicycle does'nt add to the speed of the light reflected from the bicycle even though the bicycle is moving towards you with a certain speed.if it did add then you would percieve him swerving to around thin air, when he was really swerving around the cart.

  • The bicycle vs cart analogy doesnt make any sense. The bicycle is travelling at such a small fraction of the speed of light that even if it did add to the light's velocity it wouldnt increase it enough to make you see him first. Light already travels fast enough for it to seem instantaneous at that scale and there is no way to perceive something faster than instantaneously. I mean I understand what hes saying but he should have used a larger scale example with higher speeds.

  • Well cracked! :-D :-D

  • ???

  • and even in the empty space it is possible to reach the infinite speed
