Making sure the hull is square and level before I use any epoxy on the seams. No one wants a bent/twisted boat.

  • sir, I am extremely thankful for your posting this. I am about to begin building my first boat, a 15' stitch-and-glue dinghy from radoslaw werszko. Whatching you do it has cleared many doubts I had. I look forward to see the 16' version of this baby of yours!

  • I am such an idiot!! I couldnt figure out how to do this when I built my first boat last summer. I suppose I could have figured somthing out but I was really strapped for time. Its so obvious when you see it done though. I will do thihs on the next one. Thanks

  • I like the idea of the string from the corners of the stern to the bow...great tip!

    I tend to trust my eyeballs too much and they seem to tilt a bit with age. Too much '60's ...!
