i don't mean this in an inflammatory way, but what is the point of establishing why praying is worthwhile?

That example he gave was pretty good. It is so true as well, good job C.S Lewis.

I believe he got this from the BBC web site's realaudio streams.

We THINK the addresses are lost to this world, but there's always a chance that some copies might have survived somewhere. This was a public broadcast, and all it takes is one recording device to preserve it. Who knows, it might be rediscovered in some secret Nazi bunker someplace as intelligence on what was going on in England. You never know.

Nor need for the string music at the end, either!

Four stars for the self-congratulatory credits, which last for almost a minute! As if the poster were responsible for Lewis's BBC spot. But five + for the great C.S. Lewis. Nice to hear his voice. He sounds almost like a boring old English lit teacher. But the ideas are incredible.

Wow! Thankyou so much for sharing this with us. I have always wondered what Lewis's voice sounded like. I enjoyed what he shared about time.

How did you make the jump from asserting the fact that there is truth to be gained from the totality of human experience to asking "Who is really right about anything?" (implying noone is right or wrong)
And what has the acceptance of a belief or thought to do with its veracity?

Sorry, kid...I'm lookin for your logic, but I just can't find it.

I just finished reading Mere Christianity. What a mind -blowing book, I wish everyone could read it. CS was such a gifted and brilliant man,I'm convinced he spoke on behalf of Christ Himself. Never thought I"d get to hear his voice, thank you for this post.
