It's Really You is one of Karen Carpenter's unreleased New York solo songs recorded in 1979/1980. This mix was done by DJ Cole Medina in 2008. DJ Cole Medina is a nationally known DJ/Mixer who comes from the West Coast of the U.S. His prime style is House Music.

His mix of Karen Carpenter's "It's Really You" is called Deep House. 'Deep house' is a style of house music. It is at a slower tempo than most house music, and focuses on jazz music samples (often put through a cut-off filter). The use of vocals became more common in deep house than in many other forms of house music. Sonic qualities include soulful vocals, slow and concentrated dissonant melodies, smooth, stylish, and chic demeanor.

Karen Carpenter's solo music knows no boundaries. Medina's mix has been played in clubs across the U.S. primarily underground house and rave clubs.

@lordoid This was released on vinyl. It's called Unreleased EP Vol 3 by Cole Medina. The tune is KC It's Really You. It also features a brilliant edit of a Little River Band tune. This 12" is hard to find and very expensive if you do. It's well worth it however.
