Ridge Racer

Here's a video of Ridge Racer, one of the first games on the PSX, it is a port of the 1993 Arcade game with more home suited gameplay, such as a selection of 13 cars, 4 were instantly available, 8 were unlockable by shooting all the aliens in the Galaxian game before you actually start the game, the last one was unlockable after beating it in either of the two Time Trials races after beating the first four courses, and that's the car I am using right now :)
Even though it's a mighty simple game, where you really just have to not crash while actually trying, because the CPU lack AI and just simply move along the track, and you have a rival car which tends to overtake you if you don't watch out. Yet still it's a really addictive game and I still play it O.O

im guessing youre using a negcon? i try drifting like that with a ps2 control and it doesnt always work too well

I'm using a PS3 controller here, I don't have a negcon but I would like to try it.

I just follow the track while in drift mode, as if it were normal and I seem to handle the drift fine when I see it that way.

For a moment I imagined NASCAR announcer Darrell Waltrip as the Ridge Racer announcer. Can you imagine starting each race w/ "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity! Let's go Ridge Racin', Boys!" It does have a ring to it...

btw, team Galaga (0:50), and team Xevious (1:58) just called. They want you to pay for their cars' repairs. lol XD jk
