The morning after the House passed the health care reform bill 220-215, CNN interviews one of the Congressmen who voted for the bill, Anh "Joseph" Cao from Louisiana - the only Republican to vote "yes" for the bill. Cao claims it was "a decision of conscience... to support the health care reform bill... it was the right decision for the people of my district."

  • he seems like a very good person, nice to hear

  • Bless his heart....I'm a nurse in Puerto Rico and We'd never allow our people to suffer the way they do over in America via HMO exploitation. How can the Republicans be so callous and evil? Every other industrialized country has universal care and so should the U.S......You guys are only the most powerful because you exploit and abuse your own the most and it's enough already. Obama is a great man and President. Americans have grown too used to being treated like shit from the right wing.

  • I wish he was a Democrat if he doesn't took a hard stance on abortion. There are plenty of anti-abortion politicians in the Democratic Party even though they're in the minority.

  • i like him. yes, he represents the republican views, but he knows that as a political leader, its his responsibility to make the right decision, as supposed to voting 'no' just because hes a republican.

  • says poor Cao. Not. Loses his seat after Barry makes the only campaign video---for his opponent. Ahhhh. Too bad so sad. In a Dem+28 district, his days were numbered and only won because his opponent, William Jefferson, went to jail for 13 years. So, repeal passes the house with more BIPARTISAN support than enactment got.

  • first of all, we can all agree that america ranked 43rd in quality of life just before slovakia which is ranked 42nd...

  • dit me may thang an hai non to me may... 35 toui dau ma ngu nhu con bo...

  • An Asian GOP, but just like any other GOP, that punk ass is and always will be backed by and represent the interests of multi-billionares who will tell him exactly how to vote or else, he will be gone the next election season...all GOP are backed by the same supporters with the same economic goals, dumbify people, destroy middle class, turn this country into a plutocracy, and ensure their own powers forever, it's a competitiveness that the billionaires have against the common working men.

  • we freaking need more politicians like him!!!

  • thằng hồ chí minh đã tùy tiện sai thằng phạm văn đồng

  • People who believe in religion/god belong in a insane asylum. As for Dr. Collins yes a five year old.

  • Have you thought about it? I still don't know if you have a point. You're just making normalizations without any actual arguments. Both God and religion are important. And they're important to influential, intelligent people. Dr. Francis S. Collins, the leader of the Human Genome, project has a strong belief in God. Are you saying that his intelligence somehow equates that of a five year old?
