@Plomomedia Thanks, but nevermind. I can give you no better example than that.

@hammaann as far as i can tell, neither of them are saying the t. perhaps maraka is giving it an extra inverted kind of '- but they more or less sound the same to me.
-
@Plomomedia Yes I have heard that and they ALL pronounce the T. Of COURSE it's just a quick "t". I guess you are talking about something I don't understand. I'm not sure you know what I'm talking about. Here is the SNL skit. Listen to the difference between the way Mittens pronounces his own name and how Maraka pronounces it. Mittens says, well... "Mittens"... and Maraka says: "Mi- ins", with no t. Try at around :20-:25.

@hammaann Have you heard anyone in the press talk about Mitt Romney by actually pronouncing the T's? i mean, they serve a purpose, but it's not a hard tinny pronounciation. it's a short stop, like in the word "cut" or in the phrase "cut it out". you dont pronounce a hard T in that do you?
-
@Plomomedia I grew up in Kansas. I think you might be kidding me. You are saying that you never pronounce T's at all? Mitt becomes something like 'Mih"? Can you explain why? It seems really strange to me.
-
@hammaann No, i wouldn't pronounce the T in "Kit" either. Or, for example, Mitt Romney. Those t's are not pronounced. btw, where are you from?
-
@Plomomedia That's wild. So, if you were to say the word: "Kit" you would pronounce the "t", but if you add the other syllable to make it "kitten" you would not sound the "t" and would say Ki- in? That sounds so strange to me. It's a weird world of differences we live in.
Cheers!
Silent clause. They're really saying "What the problem is" , but leaving off the "what", but it's implied.
