People think because I'm a transsexual woman, they know all about me. They'd be wrong. I'm a software engineer, an honorably discharged veteran, a published writer and a successful woman, so you might not guess I began life in a male body. You might also wrongly guess a transsexual woman like me doesn't believe in God. Play this video to learn what else you might not know. my only disagreement is that i dont see it as a birth defect. i believe there has never been anything wrong with me and that this is a spiritual process that we sign on for intentionally.

@aelius93 - I have also sometimes wondered if maybe I chose this life before I was born, perhaps as a way to learn difficult lessons I might not have been able to learn any other way. In that sense, a female-structured brain in a male body could be seen as a choice instead of a defect. It could also be seen as a difference, like being born left-handed. However, when the hatred and bigotry come raining down, sometimes it's hard to see it as anything other than a defect.

@Thebrujo1986 I guess you'd be happiest in a world where we all Sieg Heiled and wore swastika armbands, but fortunately we live in a country where diversity is more or less protected. If you want to live in a place with the strict moral code you desire, I suggest Iran or Saudi Arabia. They are just as socially conservative as you are. Here in the USA we protect our freedoms, and I did not honorably serve my country for four years so bigots could take away people's freedoms.

Many people consider belly dancing (which you like) to be aggressive and sexual. Do you expose your children to that? Ask yourself what would you do if your child became like me, tell her to hide?

our wiring is all together different from one another. the sad part is the self medicating the happy part is that you made it through that period. I myself am a hybrid of the gender world and really excepted this reality which was a monster step.

You are truly an inspiration! I might not choose to follow the same path as you (I am straight all the way) but I admire and accept you and I truly don't understand why some people can't. I get that it is religious but some of it is downright irrational hatred, which is senseless, in my opinion. All power to ya! You're amazing! :)
