  • I am God. You are God. We are God. Happy, settled and peaceful. Home. Now put the kettle on.

  • This guy is so similar to UG Krishnamurti. Also like a Zen master in his ideas

  • @eaglerock999 "All talk about truth is untrue" => I perfectly agree because it translates to => "What we may consider absolute is actually relative", or "it's also another phenomenon, a dream, ultimately maya!" This is exactly why I disagree with Mooji and others, because they preach that there is actually an absolute self, a truth to attain, an enlightened state, etc. Meditation can make you calm and grant you self control, definitely yes; but that's it! Enlightenement is an illusion.

  • @robert9reen All talk about truth is untrue.

  • @eaglerock999 When you firmly believe that "Our true nature is nothingness, emptyness, but it is wide awake", something is happening, right? When you are perceiving, something is happening. When your thoughts stop (and you recognize it otherwise you wouldn't know), something is happening. See, something is happening all the time. Look at it from a far, beyond the details and their relative importance. This is what I call phenomena and everything happens inside it. Different views, same thing :-)

  • @eaglerock999 I perfectly agree with you, I have the same experience; I am not denying these facts. I am simply labeling it differently. Yes there is awareness, but for me it is another phenomenon although different; Yes thoughts stop leaving only the watcher, but it is only another phenomenon; yes you can say our true nature is nothingness (skipping the paradox now) but this "mystery" (for me) is just another phenomenon... everything is on the same level, no duality, there is no outside.

  • @robert9reen Something is happening in awareness ,that is the mirror, the mirror even reflects nothingness whilst something is arising, that is the experience.

To say there is no awareness is plainly untrue, how else could you perceive nothingness?

In deep meditation all thoughts stop, leaving just the perceiver, that is my experience, not book knowledge, not a belief.

Our true nature is nothingness, emptyness, but it is wide awake.

Best to go with ones own experience, not someone elses.

  • @eaglerock999 Nevertheless, I respect your view and your right to believe whatever you wish to believe. Just don't be so sure of what you hold as true. I may be wrong too... I know my view is not very common but, believe me, it took me my whole life to find it: Truth is illusion in disguise and what seems to be "phenomena appearing in emptiness" is itself a phenomenon; actually as Hui Neng once said, there is no mirror in the first place so where can the image be reflected! Cheers :-)

  • @eaglerock999 Yes. I believe that everything is Maya including the concept (or experience or whatever you wish to call it) of God or the absolute. I believe enlightenment is another illusion like everything else. I actually believe that everything is fundamentally on the same level... but thousands of years of brainwashing make some of us believe in nonsense such as the absolute.

The very act of experiencing "emptiness" fills it, so it's not empty anymore :-) Being aware of emptiness!? LOL

  • @robert9reen so you are saying ,God, AKA Truth,Awareness, Nirvana or Buddha mind, super consciousness Absolute Being,Self , is Maya or Samsara? thats a new one....God has a bad name through ignorance , AV teachers avoid the word for that reason.

We have to give a name even to the nameless!

The truth is unchanging Reality,it is not a phenomenon, it is Emptiness, empty of phenomena, BUT pheomonena appear in it,and can be known ,but it cannot be described.

    Have you experienced emptiness?

  • @eaglerock999 Your view is religious: you are simply replacing God (the unquestionable mystery) with awareness. This is classical dualistic religion here. For you, awareness is an absolute, a total mystery... sounds familiar? You're just shifting labels here, God => awareness, Saint => enlightened, etc. I am inviting you to consider and understand that it is ALL MAYA. MAYA is everything. Reality and illusion are two faces of the same coin (MAYA). All exists in MAYA, the ever changing phenomenon.
