apples are not crash resistant. They have the same hardware as all other PCs. Well, actually they usualy are about a year behind on hardware like CPUs and Vid Cards.

My quad core here has yet to crash and its been running XP64 since day 1.

I agree with spending more than just a couple hundred bucks for a computer, but you can buy the hardware in an apple for half the cost apple sells it for.

So where does the rest go? Maybe blackmarket organs for Mr Jobs? They aren't cheap ya know!

Ick, no, thanks. Everytime I've had to deal with apple it's a huge hassle. All kinds of warranty limitations. I just refuse to work on those things. The only things different on an apple and a PC are the OS and the case. All the hardware is made by the same people. So you're paying an extra 50% to 100% or more markup for apples. Well, if you're not a power user, apple would be ok.

Now back to Aptera....

I've already got mine reserved...the 2h, since I need the extra range.

They're much closer to Aptera than you think. They're not after being another anonymous box maker, they're after making the very best product that people will happily pay a premium to own. And unlike monolithic companies like Micros**t they actually care about design, efficiency and the user experience.

Oh, and by the way, Micros**t is laying off people, Apple is hiring.

Apptera at Apple? They think way different from each other. If Apple was one of the big 3 they would only have 3 cars, they would only come in one color, and be waaaay over priced.
