everyone knows the power of film, especially someone like lucas and speilberg. perhaps if this was a ONE TIME issue, i wouldn't be so upset. but it has been this way since the beginning of film. can you name one film that portrays Nican Tlaca people or culture in a positive light? times up. i will never get over it.

Seems to me, you don't even no why they call it "Latin America". And I never said Marriage was considered rape, but they "encouraged" marriage between whites and "indians", because they believed their children would be less of a "savage", and they also just tried to eliminate the race instead of that. And yes diseases were used purposely to kill off indigenous people. And the US did the same shit, they also had that Indian Removal Act, even the "citizens" were allowed to kill them.

Road to El Dorado rewrites history. It portrayed Spanish as fun-loving good-guys having a loving relationship with a willing Indian woman instead of raping Indian women and torturing Indian men, women and children. Whenever Whites produce revisionist lies like 300 etc, all non-Caucasian people need to stand up and refuse to fund it.

No, speaking English does not make you English, I didn't say anything like that. If you are of Spanish descent, or a Latin American, then you are a Latino. Marriages may have been more biased, but it doesn't count as rape.

And most of the natives were killed by diseases. In comparison, warfare between the US and natives killed little.

Primpur39, the movie is promoting "Indian" people, as savages. Typical Indigenous stereotypes. When you learn about the true history of Indigenous people, you'll see that like this movie portrays them, you'll learn that they were a very advanced and civilized people. These are my ancestors, Im a so called "Latino", I'll never label myself that again, Because I know what happened to my ancestors, and I can never be proud of rape. I rather take a Nahuatl name, Latin/Latino/Latina came from Europe.

No, I really just didn't like listing them. They aren't that hard to find, so I am not going to give you a list. However, I will list two movies:

First, ironically, didn't the last Indiana Jones movie show that the Mayans were extremely advanced, even if they were helped by aliens (or whatever it was about, I wasn't that into it as it wasn't that good). Second, El Dorado shows that the natives have built, well, El Dorado, an advanced city literally made of gold.
