Ernie Anderson voices these ABC promos and Steve Doyle anchors a KMSP Newswatch preview found in this 1978 ad break from Minneapolis-St.Paul.

  • Looks like a fun night of TV! I just wonder, does the complete newscast still exist? Some stations in major areas were still erasing their tapes in 1978.

  • "Chevy Trucks, built to stay tough" I forgot all about that one, they should use it again.

  • I bought the whole set to those mcdonalds glasses not too long ago. I had no idea that they were that old!

  • I bet that McDonald's commercial with the dancing glasses was the inspiration behind "Teeny Little Super Guy", from Sesame Street and Pinwheel.

  • This was a few months before KMSP 9 in Minneapolis-St. Paul switched from ABC to Independent as KSTP 5 switched from NBC to ABC and WTCN 11 switched from Independent/Metromedia to NBC.
