Brawls broke among crowds of people queueing up for the last batch of Olympic tickets. In the chaos that ensued, mainland police forcibly removed some Hong Kong media personnel away from the scenes and detained SCMP photographer Felix Wong, who was later released.

  • Mainland China police assault & detain foreign press or reporters cases are occured frequently. They respect no human right at all, as they are taught to do so.

  • He was later freed. The Chief of police personally apologized to him on behalf of the officers not after a bad public relations.

  • Well, the title is definitely eye-catching, but hope there can be more details on what happened on the scene, why this reporter was detained, and what happened in the police station after he felt scared.
