Tornado Clouds Grand Forks ND

We had a tornado warning in Grand Forks ND on 6/26/09, I heard reports of a funnel cloud but it never touched the ground. Atleast I recorded some interesting cloud developement. Even though there wasnt a tornado, it was pretty exciting knowing that one could develope at any time.

About 15 minutes after this video was taken we started getting huge amounts of rainfall and complete overcast as far as the eye could see. Then my friend and I started driving around to see what we could find. We felt safe enough to do so in a 6000 pound dodge ram. We also had been watching radar prior to leaving and knew where the storm was heading. It was a risk obviously but after weighing our chances we decided to go on our own accord.

it is wilkerson! i doubt the food has gotten any better, i have trouble believing it was ever any worse. 

the new sirens were installed in just the past two or three weeks

still really stupid. What if a branch snapped off and went right threw the windshield like my sons truck over at L&M? Even if your safe bein in ur truck (which you werent) not to say something couldnt go flying right into you or windows n then what?? Your never safe out in the open no matter what vehicle...

great vid dude , ya i am from Winnipeg , i wish we had a warning system like the one grand forks has , we get some crazy storms out hear , we had a level 5 tornado

2 years ago west of the city it was some crazy crap, i was just out in Grand Forks yesterday had a great time

new sirens are a good idea, but they couldve used the money to build a new wilke.

We knew where the tornados were on radar... It was a calculated risk, I enjoyed it.
