The existing 4:th gen. airframes have too few hours left on them. Who wants Tornados limited to 5G with 500 hours left on them ? And why should the Poles buy planes from countries with higher salaries at all ? Good airframes can be manufactured in Poland for a fraction of the cost. Any old russian design will do nicely. The Su-22 is a good candidate because it is economically single engined yet can carry a good amount of weapons, sensors and jammers.

  • It doesn't really matter that the Su-22 is an old design. Theoretically the Poles could reverse engineer it, pack it with cheap good avionics and weapons and get a good enough plane for something that will never come.

The next war in Europe will not be fought between armies, navies and air forces. The next war will be fought between ethnicities. It is a war that is already blazing in France and in my country. I hope the Poles learn from our mistakes and close their borders to non-europeans.

I can't say anything about the A-10 that isn't far better stated by one of its creators - Pierre Sprey. Type his name in the YT search box. The docu where he talks about the F-35 is most illuminating. Also the Riat 2011 A-10 display can be found here on YT and is most enjoyable.

  • @AtmosphericDominator smart anwser, what do you know about A 10?

  • @domycrodubrava may be and su22 bigger

  • @11mehanik1 only the wings are difrent, but tail and head are veary similar

  • @domycrodubrava only from very much distance

  • su-22 is very similar with mig-21
