I love you simple yet effective setup. I'm doing similar but i'll have two mini phantoms at the top right and left in the front and an ebay 18led B/W in the middle of my dash (i used a show me flasher on it) and my civic si has a grill between the headlights and down between the fogs so i'll have lights n both. My back will have 3 mini phantoms n a row like a light bar B/W B/B W/B (in that order) and then my license plate lights in addition to my hideaways. :). galls thunder siren for the horn.

@nomofica0 Some lights are not needed on pov's but you also have to consider the location of lights provides visibility angels that are better in certain locations. Grill lights actually help with visibility. When you have a dash light providing visibility at a high level and then your grills at a mid and lower level (depending on car and mounting) it increases the chances of your car being seen from pedestrians and civilians in cars as you approach from a greater distance.

is this LEGAL?

Like I said, I know there are some policies for volly depts that require them to have L&S on POVs. But a single light bar and a siren is sufficient. There's logic, and then there's overdoing it.
By the way, don't jump on my case about assumptions. I'm apparently "retarded" because I know for a fact you don't need grill lights on a volly POV.

My car doesn't have any emergency light. Don't you just hate how people love to assume shit. Some state's law require siren if you are gonna run emergency lights, even if its a POV. So the logic thing to do is have enough light to move traffic.

There are already lights in the windshield. What benefit would the grill lights have? If this were for a department-owned vehicle it might be more justifiable, but when it's a POV, what's the point?
Let me guess, you have a full jump kit in the back of your car, right? Lots of bright flashy things on your car?

nomofica0.......Are you a fucking retard? So many lights? Really? Like u stated its might be dept. policy to have light but yet you complain about fucking grill lights. Its just amazes me how a fucking retard you are

WHAAAAACCKKKKEEERRRRRR
With that out of the way, I'm going to ask why the hell you have so many lights on your POV...? Yeah, I get that there may be a department policy requiring lights on your POV but do you really need the grill strobes?

You're not a real cop. A real true law enforcement officer would not talk about fellow civil service personnel in that light.

I completely agree with you rdawg810. ramtank's comment was really messed up.
Lets see, besides the fact that cops suck(not why im writing this), dont screw with people who dedicate their FREE TIME to saving lives! Why dont you try getting up at 3 in the morning to go to a call for no money! You, my dumb little friend, are a disgrace!

I saw these comments and my jaw dropped. I come from an agency where there are paid shifts and volunteer shifts. I was surprised at the comments. I think that adequate lighting is necessary. Up above is as far as I will ever go with my lights... Actuallly, I have a talon in the front and two phantoms in the back. I use them a lot for responding to backup calls, etc. I get a lot of traffic moving with the car, and that's what the lights are for. They keep ME and CIVILIANS safe...
