Buffalo Sabres take a bite out of the Big Apple! MSG-TV opener January 9/09

The Sabres won this game against the New York Rangers, 2-1, in a shootout. The Sabres were bolstered by the return of center Tim Connolly, who missed nearly two months because of a broken rib. Before that, he missed the first 10 games of the season with a broken vertebra. Through 20 games in the 08/09 season through Feb. 7/09, Connolly is being clutch with totals of 11 g - 9 a = 20 points.

The footage in this MSG-TV opener featured Jarkko Ruutu taking a bite of Andrew Peters' hand! Maybe down the road Sean Avery will do something similar IF he returns to the Rangers...
The Sabres won that game too, 4-2.
