erika joining might be irrelevant....if erika is dead when she comes to the island then the number will remain the same regardless of whether or not she washes up on the shores of rokkenjima

    ADDENDUM:

Yes the knox rules apply, but I believe there are lots of clues (explained).

If none of that convinces you, then just count how many people there are on the island - if Beatrice is her own separate being, then there would be more than 17 people on the island.

It's like the most basic of Umineko.

But why do I need to say this? KnownNoMore has explained absolutely all of it in these amazing videos. Watch them.

Look, SOMEONE has to be disguised as Beatrice, anyways

Also, you must never care about "people" seeing her - only the detective's eyes are to be trusted - and when Battler meets Beatrice he's either drunk or she is standing far away, or something similar - this is explained in the videos

Even the ShKanontrice theory works through this (for what that's worth) so there's really no other explanation THAN Beatrice being someone else in disguise. I think we can all agree that she isn't a real person

But that would violate Knox's 10th commandment

It is forbidden for a character to disguise themselves as another without any clues.

We can see based on the inclusion of Dlanor and Erika using those rules, that they apply to Umineko.

In later episodes people see Beatrice, they would notice if it was someone they knew.

    17 people:

Battler, Jessica, George, Maria, Rosa, Rudolf, Krauss, Eva, Kyrie, Hideyoshi, Natsuhi, Shannon, Kanon, Nando, Genji, Gohda and Kumasawa.

You said "how can Beatrice be a separate being from Shannon and Kanon?"

She is not a separate being - basically, she is not a real person - she is Rosa in disguise.

Shannon and Kanon, though, are obviously separate people.

Ok I cant sit through all of these vids to find the answer.

But how can anyone say Kannon, Shannon and Beatrice are seperate people?

Red truth said there are no more than 17 humans on the island.

I still don't get what Shkanon supporters have to defend themselves with. You can try to debunk the Rosatrice theory, but you can not defend the Shkanon one seeing as the various red truths denying the theory as a whole. If you believe in Shkanon, then you have to agree that the characters in Umineko are unimaginably retarded to never realize Yasu dressing up as Shannon and Kanon. Also, just how can he/she survive the fall AND still be physically/mentally able to commit these crimes?

Because Battler came back. Yasu, if you believe Shkannontrice, was three different people. Of course if you believe this, then you know all three love three different people. Obviously not all of them can have Shannon, Kanon, or Beatrice. Shannon and Kanon were originally only supposed to fight it out but when Battler came back it started a three way fight. Yasu/Clair does even say (I believe) that it probably would have been to a less extent if Battler didn't return.
