Cold, wet, salt water = ulcers, no shower, no dry bed, very little sleep in your wet cloth's, yeah it's fun !

Why wouldn't you just stand on the rocks at the shore somewhere, get pounded senseless, and then go race a speed boat with a bloody great motor instead of doing this. This is like pure masochism, not racing.

You can't see a bloody thing with glasses on. And unless it is really cold, gloves make it difficult to handle lines and they don't prevent blisters anyway. Only getting toughened up hands does that.
