This uploader is not Norman McLaren, the original animator. This is a 53-year-old short called ''The Blackbird (Le Merle)''. The credits are even at the start of this video.

All the uploader did was link one previously made work with another. He's right that 'it works', but he's not the creator of either work.

Credit where it's do. Praise be McLaren and Newsom. A little doff of the hat to Gianluca / dominocrew for thinking to link the two.

You're right. I should probably worry about THEM taking down my Pulp video which uses (misuses?) footage from 'Genevieve'. I don't think that's PD, although it should be at this point.

The only objection I'd accept is if one of the filmmakers or musicians didn't like the juxtaposing of their work with another.

In another Pulp video I use a scene from 'We Own the Night', which I know is ©'d and could be snitched on.

2 years and only 1,017 views. Damn you are under rated for this amazing...amazing animation. You must have spend so much time on it, wow words can't justify the feeling of doing that. You should upload this same video more than once.

Hmm... wow... heh.

I've never heard of this artist, nor of the song - her voice threw me a little at first - yet, as I continued to listen, the song, and her voice, seemed to become something most remarkably nice. I absolutely loved it.

The animation was a subsequent bonus, being so simple, but still artistically and creatively intoxicating... so playful... such a delight... truly, just works :)
