  • I love this woman, she was just a one off so real and true to her self and when she looks upset she oozes dignity-there can never be another MISS DAVIS.

  • whats with the dog in the background.

  • Interesting how, in the clip, her quiet reserve draws one in. A remarkable actress. Only experience of life and sympathy for others can produce acting like this.

Such a shame that the poster uses terms like "bitches" when referring to Bette Davis' captivating conservation. I suspect that he is rather immature. However thank you for these postings.

  • 2.08 - 2.22 so sweet Bette

  • @bannon1000 Fu, moron hahaha.

  • I've read this play the other day :-) weird to see it on film, i imagine everything differently

  • Ms Davis Queen of Warner Bros. accepted the part and 2nd billing after Paul Lukas so that the film could get financed and distributed. A truly great Lady

  • Of course it is everything Davis said, not a great role--albeit with a couple of fine moments, and that she was in it for name value. That seemed clear when I saw it. It's really not even a great movie except for its propaganda value. I liked Lukas but don't know that his performance was Oscar worthy that year.

  • @bannon1000

im in full agreement, she was brilliant!!

off stage, imperfect like us, on stage, a goddess (im not into false gods im a christian ) but, she could do the stage, aloan, & we'd still be gob smacked @ her talent & b eauty !!

  • I think she just didn't like watching herself on screen.
