  • just killed one same size, ive been hunting mosquitos for about 3 months now and came across one like this, but my bad, just found out it aint a mesquito, i wont hunt these in the future!

  • @Burley118

You shouldnt kill them, because they can be quit useful...maybe they eat other mosquitos, that usually suck our blood during night?

  • @xenomorphlover Only Female mosquitoes suck blood they do this for the iron content in our blood, the male never bite at all and yes female mosquitoes are only active from sun sets in the middle of a hot day they cant see for shit and their sense of smell is deminished untill night

  • @MrSyntheticDesign Thats why i prefer 'male' mosquitoes : ) I think the female ones look different, they kinda have these 2 longer legs sticking up that always move up and down. I still think they are fascinating creatures despite driving me nuts during hot summer nights. I don't know how they can do that, but im always turning the lights on immediately when i sense mosquitoes - but those little beasts are suddenly nowhere to be found. It's like they open a portal to some other dimension...

  • Thats Tanyptera Dorsalis. known as "crane fly" "Skeeter eater". does NOT eat mosquitos. It is my favorite insect (and im studying to be an entomologist so thats saying something) because it looks so horrible but its the most gentle creature. It couldn't bite you if you WANTED it to...And it is so dainty and delicate that if it lands too hard or fast its little legs break right off. They look drunk because if they flap their wings too hard they would break.

  • @EmeraldIsleRuby

Hey, thanks for the info : ) They still look scary to me , but i would never harm or kill them. I always try to navigate them out of my window so they can fly (or divebomb XD) out of my room.

  • One is in my house right now.. In the kitchen. Scaring the living shit out of me. I wouldn't even try to kill it, it's so huge it'll probably kill me first. Of a heartattack!! AHHHHH I know they're harmless but why the fuck do they have to look so creepy

  • i don't think that's a mosquito because there is no thing showing for it to suck blood of wtv

  • Even though they eat mosquitos .. they scare me they're so long and and big and flies ... *shivers* and they like to follow me when I go to the washroom , my room, the kitchen .. ):
