Are all your cuts at 5½? I was doing my cuts the opposite way. Taking the shiloutte and then cut out the face/clothes and placing them accordingly. I'll have to try this method.

Yes, all of the cuts are the same at 5 1/2. This way seems to work the best to ensure that I dont have twice as much outline. hope this method works for you!
