@Crashman2 Same here, cqbhoun, earned in a Piper Arrow: 200-HP flat-6 engine, retractable, controllable-prop RPM is separate lever from manifold pressure, and turbocharged. At seven thousand she would go like the wind compared to my earlier Cessnas. NEVER say you are "just a private pilot". We are extremely skilled people whose sport can mean DEATH- AT ANY TIME! And we have ALL WON EVERY TIME- so far.

@JPK1990 I think it's a 1-piece coated polymer like Plexiglas or its even stronger cousin, Lexan (tm). EVA Space helmet gold visors are made of Lexan (tm). If it was Lexan, though, a crash axe would seem wimpy. That stuff is TOUGH- and known since the 196o's. Me, I just go Google "F-22 Canopy" for the laffs

@Crashman2 do you know what material is that canopy made of? And how?

1:00 Huh ? wha........? Oh yeah thats right, Im good ! PFfft, ,lMFAO ! now thats funny ( not passing out tho, lol)

"recovered, recovered....holy shit....copy that" :D real holy shit...good job sir!

@larzabell You are quite right. Autorotation trades altitude for airspeed to get ya down smoothly when the engine quits, using forward motion, translational lift and blade inertia... PLUS jerking the Collective UP at the last second before impact. This is GROUND RESONANCE. Wikipedia it. Please don't make me try to explain Vortex Ring State!! ;-)

@cqbhoun My pilot's license is still good. I'm just a Private Pilot, but Complex-Aircraft Rated.

@JPK1990 Best F-22 pics I have ever seen came when they couldn't get the canopy to open after one had landed. The pilot inside was slowly toasting. They flew the MFR rep. in- no dice.. Finally they got him out by smashing the canopy with a crash axe. Hilarious! The best fighter in the world won't let you out! Search "F-22 Canopy closed" on Google Images.

@JPK1990 The beginning part with the f-22 was just normal wring-it-out test-pilot stability and weird stall instability recovery testing + pushing the envelope. "Holy S**T! Copy THAT!"
Always happy to receive compliment from Schweitz (SWISS) .. They are good fliers. ENTIRE AIRBASES IN CAVES IN THE ALPS! Swiss invented the Learjet, too, then sold it for production.
