Lost and Found Season 2 Episode 18

Miley's P.O.V.

I got out of the car and thanked Denise.
"Thanks again Denise, for everything."
She smiled. "No need to thank me."
I smiled and walked into my house.
"I'm home!"
The next thing I know, I hear Zac running down the stairs and picking me up in the air, hugging me and spinning me around.
"How much I missed you little sister!"
"I missed you too big brother." I said sarcastically.
"Even in the midst of the most serious situation that you could have ever been in, your sarcastic tone has never felt."
I fake smiled. "You got that right."
He sighed. "Miley, why are you like this? I saw how you were outside with Denise; all happy and smiles. Why are you like this with me?"
I sighed and looked down. "Because of this house, all the memories it holds. When was the last time you saw me smile or even happy in this house since my mom died?"
He stayed silent.
"Exactly, that's what I thought."
"Well, what do you suggest we do?"
"Zac, you're happy in this house, I don't want to take that away from you."
"Miley, I never said anything about moving."
"But it was implied."
He sighed. "But if that's what it takes to make you happy, then I'll do it."
When he said that, I just had it. It was like a bomb exploded inside of me and all my anger finally came out.
"UGH! WHY CAN'T EVERYONE STOP CARING ABOUT ME AND START CARING ABOUT THEMSELVES?! DON'T YOU GET IT?! I DON'T WANT YOU TO THINK OF MY HAPPINESS, I'M TIRED OF IT ALL! I JUST WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY!"
He stood there, shocked.
"Well, mmm, I didn't know you felt this way."
"Well, you're talking to a girl who has been keeping her emotions bottled for a long time."
He sighed. "Well, you wanted to get emancipated. So we can get that done and you can move out and I can stay here, living in this house."
I knew he was angry and disappointed, yet, he was still thinking about my happiness.
"God Zac, you just don't get it! Yes, I want to get emancipated. Yes, I want to move out of this house. But no, I don't want to move out if that's gonna cost your happiness."
"No Miley, you don't get; my happiness comes from your happiness. If you aren't happy in this house, then neither am I. If you wanna move outta this house, then we'll move out. If you wanna get emancipated, then we'll file the papers and get everything done in order for you to get emancipated. If you're happy, then I'm happy."
I just looked at him, then threw my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.
"I love you, you know that? You're the best brother anyone could ever ask for."
I felt him smile as he wrapped his arms around me, and kissed my head. Then he pulled away.
"So what did the doctor say about everything?"
"Well, he gave me pain killers for the pain, and wrapped my leg in a cast since dad snapped it and broke it. They also gave me crutches, and bandages for my ribs; I change them once at night and once in the morning. And as for my stitched up forehead, it's the same as before, which means I have no gym for a while, and I have to go back to see the doctor in 4 weeks."
He nodded. "Alright. So now that we have everything figured out, what do you wanna do now?"
"I was hoping we could run some errands, like getting me emancipated and....name change."
"Name change?"
I nodded. "I don't want my name to be Miley Ray Cyrus anymore. That was the old me, the one that died with mom. The new me is Rae Cyrus; plain and simple."
He nodded. "Alright, that's it for errands then?"
"Well, since we both agreed on moving out, we can look at places. I don't think a house though, it's too big and too much for us to pay for. And..." I looked down, then back up. "I wanna go see dad."
