Huckabee's view on CFR

This was from a Mike Huckabee rally which I helped host (it's at my college of Loras in Iowa and I'm a republican). A typed transcript of the dialog is coming soon in this description box. Huckabee describes Richard N. Haass (Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations) as a good friend and some of the concepts of CFR. I know the audio is hard to pick up because of all the background noise, a transcript is in the works.

@2eelShmeal Yeah, it was a real bad snow storm that day (which is why he was late as well). I was able to interview him probably because I was part of the Loras College Republicans at the time and hosted this event for him (as I did for Romney and others). It's interesting how open people can be (Huckabee) when the questioner doesn't come off as threatening.

@euro944t Yes, I saw that interview. He then jokes around and says that the CFR controls the world and what not to which Richard N. Haas does not say a word.  His silence speaks volumes clearly.

@Billiameo That's true. You mentioned the republican club and that sorta puts you on his team in his mind so he's more apt to answer. You asked for an overview of the CFR and he goes on about they are good people, the leader I know well, Haas.. He's a good guy too. "Knowledgeable about foreign affairs" Yes, Huck, that's exactly the problem..lol Then he goes on to say that Haas is on the US' side. (patriot) ;)

@nododon I don't see anything Haass said in your passage as terrible. To have order in an anarchic system requires that states give up a level of sovereignty for the common good. Anyone who has taken an International Relations 101 class understands that this is a basic concept of international politics dating back to the Peloponnesian War.
