Lot S84 1954 Corvette Resto Mod

Built on the foundation of a custom-modified frame, this 1954 Corvette Resto Mod uses C4 front and rear suspension and components, with the result that it rides and drives with the balance and handling of a modern Corvette.

While its new custom frame and running gear were being readied, the rest of the car was treated to a full restoration, during which the various custom touches were incorporated. The entire body, including engine compartment, underside and inner surfaces, was carefully prepared and then finished in gorgeous Merlow Maroon.

The new tan canvas folding top matches the fine cream leather seat covers and upholstery, which nicely harmonize with the Maroon dash and carpeting. The dash and driver controls are vintage '54 but a closer look reveals an AM/FM cassette unit specially made for C1 the dash.

Under the hood sits a highly polished and chromed "Old School" 327 smallblock Chevy. Dual four barrels, a polished aluminum intake and an Edelbrock Elite Series air cleaner take care of performance demands, along with the four speed transmission. It's all kept cool with a "Be Cool" polished radiator.

No Resto Mod is complete without the right wheel/tire combo, in this case chromed Torque Thrust 17 inch wheels on Pirelli ZR tires.

The combined result is an excellent variation on the '54 Corvette theme with "showtime" looks, superb performance and modern Corvette handling.
