I've no idea how they kept their sanity whilst using the Synclaviers's sequencer. It was NOT intuitive and wasn't like any "typical" sequencer at the time. Very hard to use/sync and adjust. The Fairlight was a piece of cake compare to it, but the Synclavier's quality was certainly miles ahead. Funny how many folks listen to "Construction Time Again" and "Some Great Reward" and think many of those clangorous FM sounds came from a DX7. At least the Synclavier was easier to program sounds with :)

@VideosDepeche : No, I meant the guy in white t-shirt to the right, partly bald headed. Ok, maybe more like 5:09.

@luminousoctaves It is Martin.

Is that Brian Eno in 5:05?

This gives them more of a funny side. I like it. Their fun. :3

@YourMamaBinLadin It's not even close to goth and never been intended. Thanks to some idiots on college stations who pitched DM to goths at that time it became popular among them. Just dark industrial and techno pop. Nothing else.

Funny how I remember the album as mysterious, dark, serious and depressing which is how we imagined DM back in 1984... very goth... but they were just kids having a laff, sampling random weird objects and giggling about it.
