The John C. Wells Planetarium at JMU and the JMU Department of Physics and Astronomy's marquee public science presentation for the Spring 2013 semester was Dr. Jason Kalirai, the Deputy Project Scientist for the James Webb Space Telescope. On January 24, 2013, Dr. Kalirai, from the Hubble Space Telescope's Space Telescope Science Institute, presented a public talk entitled "TELESCOPES AS TIME MACHINES".
