  • Outstanding song and excellent harmony.

  • I have really enjoyed reading all your great comments today, please keep them coming!

  • Grew up with Dean's. Much prefer this.

  • I haven't heard his, but I grew up with this one since an oldies station I heard as a child played it constantly!

  • Still sounds as good as it did in the 50's. Love it.

  • @calmaven1

I agree.---and once you get to the punchline, all of the 'naughty' stuff takes on new meaning. Classic work of genius!

  • there's a speck of this song that fits my mother, and i should know

wonder if this song inspired whoever named thestreetthatigrewupon "Shady Lane", a tinylittle street paved ten years before i was born.

  • loving this

  • awesome song

  • released on the eve of the rock & roll movement, I love this song. Only wish I was old enough to remember it when it was new. With the uptempo songs from these guys and Perry Como was coming out with, its no wonder that rock & roll was about to give birth. These guys simply helped usher it in. (last I heard 3 of the Ames' were still alive)

  • @Juliaflo Happy Thanksgiving to you also, keep listening to the great songs !

  • @Rustina61 I second that. I heard this version back in 1954. (Don't figure out my age, LOLOLOLOLOLOL, but have a Happy Thanksgiving).

  • This song was on Dancing With The Stars. Whoever the singer was, he did not do justice to it. He was very out of tune. Nothing like the Ames Brothers !

  • This is a delightful vintage song. The real "cute" part is the punchline at the end.

  • ...Wow. This song, along with "You, You, You" were my favorite of 1954. Puts a lump in my throat.
