  • It was used as music for a play, so I've read. What a great title as well, talk about the music fitting it perfectly!

  • holy crap that was amazing!

  • I am so glad that eyeearbrain.webs.com sent me here. Best tune ever!

  • Awesome.

  • One of my absolute favourites. It's amazing to think that this piece was left out of the original album release. It was only included in the CD re-issue. Love you Wayne...

  • Pero que maestro Gil Evans

  • OMG!!!!! Those are some special minutes. And, while It's hard to begrudge them their time w/ Coltrane & Miles (the two most important & influential small ensembles of that decade, after all, if not of the entire second half of the 20th century), or even Wayne's invaluable 5-year stint w/ Blakey, how sweet would it have been to hear Wayne & Elvin w/ Gil on a regular basis? Especially considering the mediocrity of so many of Gil's soloists in the post-Miles era...

  • LOVE this piece. Elvin, Wayne, Kenny Burrell, Gary Peacock, and French horns Ray Alonge and Julius Watkins. And a harp too! Always a feeling of delightful anticipation, with Elvin's triplets. And those Gil voicings.
