I picked up this Dialight 430-6479-001F Countdown Pedestrian Signal at a surplus store in Florida last year and thought it would be cool to get it working and mount it in my house.

I used a BASIC Stamp II with EFK-TEK RC-4 SSR board to switch on and off the four control lines (AC hot) from the independent icon and timer modules on the signal. All circuitry is affixed to the back with velcro for easy rework (except the terminal block, which has double-sided foam tape that is more rigid).

More information, including BS2 source code, is available at http://www.grandideastudio.com/portfolio/countdown-pedestrian-signal/
