A glimpse of the 2009 Southeastern Flower Show held in Atlanta, GA January 28 - February 1 at the Cobb Galleria Centre. The 22nd annual show is presented by the Southeastern Horticultural Society and includes landscaped gardens by professionals and non profit groups, entertainment, juried competition exhibits in floral design, container garden design, horticultural excellence, photography and professional floral design. Hourly demonstrations and presentations from experts from around the world show a variety of topics from Cooking from the Garden, Floral Design, Sod & Pruning, Garden Themed Travel, etc. Special exhibits included invitational art exhibits from Tom Ventulett & Linda Fraser. One of the most popular invitational exhibits was "Flowers from Around the World" presented by Cut Flower Wholesale; a display showing fresh cut flowers and the countries they are imported from. The Youth Division provided many fun learning opportunities for children of all ages from Worms to Starting a garden indoors. A Marketplace filled with everything related to gardening gave visitors an opportunity to help the economy too as well as take home treasures from the show.
